home’s architect is Matin Taraz; landscape architect is Lili O’Connor.

The Wright home is nestled back from the street in a huge field of lavender and is approached by a long gravel drive. Half way up the drive there is a surprise view of an extensive lily-pond which reflects the beauty of the building.

Skillfully laid, high quality, warm-colored stone was used to construct the residence. The home blends beautifully with the site and has impressive but simple detailing. Deeply recessed windows and doors with large lintels add dignity to the residence. The whole house has the design quality and detailing of a historic Tuscan building.

One major factor in the decision to award the Lily to this property was that the house occupies two lots one of which has been preserved just for landscaping. The extensive grounds contain lots of colorful gardens framed with natural, informal landscaping.
