Local resident to receive top trial lawyers award

San Diego’s legal community will gather on Saturday, March 20, for the 26th Annual Red Boudreau Trial Lawyers Dinner to benefit homeless children at St. Vincent de Paul Village. Local resident Mickey McGuire, a partner at Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire, will be presented with the 2010 Daniel T. Broderick III Award at this year’s event.
McGuire has been recognized in Woodward/ White's Best Lawyers in America every year since its inception in 1987. In 1999 he received the David E. Casey Award for Excellence in Trial Work by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. In 2007 Mickey was selected as one of the Top 100 California Trial Lawyers by The American Trial Lawyers Association. He currently holds the record for the largest non-punitive verdict obtained in the state. In 2008 before the Arizona Supreme Court Mickey successfully won a reversal of The Lofts at Fillmore Condominium Association v. Reliance Commercial Construction, Inc. The 26th Anniversary Red Boudreau Trial Lawyers Dinner will be held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront 1 Park Boulevard in San Diego.
